You will be responsible for experimental design, execution, and analysis of in vivo and ex vivo tissue testing, and device performance testing in support of the surgical stapling and robotics portfolios. Within the New Product Development process, as part of the extended R&D team, your deliverables will include pre-clinical verification planning and execution, body of evidence testing, and marketing collateral and competitive product test planning and execution.Responsibilities include are but not limited to:Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to execute experiments efficiently according to predetermined protocolsExecute product performance assessments through test method development and device testing in ex vivo and in vivo tissue environmentsAnalyze data, prepare technical reports, and communicate experimental results to cross-functional teamsParticipate in publication strategy for research and evidence findingsMaintain knowledge of competitive product portfoliosCollaborate with cross functional teams to determine evidence needsDesigns, develops and provides safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment.Ensures that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards.You may also support activities such as:Perform material testing of biological tissue to evaluate current and future experimental modelsSupport experimental investigations in mechanically-mediated tissue remodeling through device design, verification, and in vivo operationMust Have (Minimum Requirements):To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline with minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Device or Scientific industryNice To Have (Preferred Qualifications)MS in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline preferredDemonstrated record of success in material testing and characterizationExperience in successful experimental designKnowledge of laboratory instrumentation and computer software skills utilizing research-based applicationsAbility to compile and organize technical data using Excel, Word, or PowerPointProficiency in MS Office and MinitabRequired Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. PR) locations (USD):$82,400.00 - $123,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
