Senior Full Stack Java Developer
Full Stack Java Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6 month to start (prefers contract to hire) Job Description The Java Systems Developer IT is responsible for providing a high degree of technical knowledge in application systems development and design. This position will provide technical consultative advice and instruction to the team and our business partners. This position is responsible for leading the team to design, develop, test, and document complex application business solutions. This position is responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting systems and procedures. Collaborating with other team members by providing technical advice and training will be a core function of the position. Responsibilities Systems Developer IT team to analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs Develop and apply theories and methods to solve complex technological problems; code or modify, test, and debug programs of difficult complexity Manage work direction, lead and influence, and provide feedback to others within team Review code & design quality Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews Own application(s) within area, including proactive monitoring and communication of overall health and future sustainability Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 5 years of experience with application development or package software implementation that includes Java development experience Additional Qualifications Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team Established presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audience Ability to transition abstract concepts into stable and supportable software solutions Ability to develop unbiased options and recommendations to technical problems and unbiased comparisons Strong problem-solving and analysis skills Strong traits of decisiveness and judgment Excellent documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Background in MicroService Architecture with Spring Boot Big Data/Data Analytics MongoDB, Casandra, TeraData or similar Automated testing frameworks - Cucumber, Gherkin or Similar Cloud Computing Vmware Tonzu, GCP or similar User Interface Design and Development REACT, Angular or Similar Dev OPS - CI/CD Pipeline Kotlin and Docker Kafka or other event streaming platform. Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) Previous experience in PBM / health care industry Understanding of security implications of domain Desire to work in management and lead others Minimum Physical Job Requirements Ability to travel up to 5% of the time Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of Primes core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
