Overview As an embedded software engineer lead, you drive the development, verification, and on-time delivery of high-quality software for medical devices. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust designs and interfaces, while guiding QA, risk analysis, and compliance activities. This role offers impact at scale within a safety-critical domain and opportunities to shape modern software practices. You’ll collaborate on product development and sustainment to empower healthcare outcomes. ResponsibilitiesLead software development, verification, and validation for embedded products ensuring timely, high-quality deliveryDesign and implement software using languages such as C, C++, C#, Python with embedded C experienceCreate and update design, interface specifications and test artifacts; support code/script/procedure developmentDebug and troubleshoot software issues; provide strategic solutions and future development guidanceContribute to requirements gathering, risk analysis, and root-cause analysis of failuresFollow Design Controls and FDA guidelines; align with QMS and EMS/regulatory requirementsMentor junior engineers and interact with QA to ensure robust software productsParticipate in product development teams and manage multiple projects with shifting prioritiesSupport end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to enable continuous deliveryReadily adjust priorities to achieve common objectives across projects Key requirementsBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in Engineering (or master’s with 7+ years, or Doctorate with 2+ years)Expert knowledge of C, C++, C#, Python and embedded C developmentExperience with development tools, IDEs, debuggers, unit test frameworks, and source controlExperience designing and managing end-to-end CI/CD pipelinesExperience with software testing and SDLC processesStrong understanding of software engineering principles and model-based design (UML/SysML)Experience in embedded systems for safety-critical products and debugging in embedded environmentsKnowledge of microprocessor architecture and capable debugging techniquesAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and guide junior team membersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationIndependence and ability to operate with limited supervisionStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindsetC, C++, C#, PythonEmbedded C developmentCI/CD pipelines for build/test/deploy
