Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Days with Call Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Versatility in knowing multiple service lines Experience with general, vascular, and robotic cases Proficiency in Meditech is highly preferred At least one previous travel assignment Description: Local candidates are preferred within a 100-mile radius. The operating room has 19 suites with an average of 30-40 cases per day. Charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities include overseeing daily operations until 3 PM and on weekends. There is a requirement for call one weekday per week and one weekend every five weeks. The call response time is 30 minutes. There may be occasional floating between two main operating rooms. Scrubs are not provided; navy or ceil blue scrubs are required. A one-week orientation will be provided, including meeting with the educator and spending time with experienced nurses in the department. The facility is seeking candidates who are eager to work and maintain a positive attitude. Breaks include a 15-minute break in the morning and a 30-minute lunch break. This is a smoke-free campus in a faith-based healthcare setting. The charting system used is Meditech.
