The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job SummarySt. Paul Catholic School seeks a caring, enthusiastic, and faith-centered Primary Grade Teacher to support the academic, social, and spiritual development of students in kindergarten through 2nd grade. The ideal candidate creates a nurturing, structured classroom environment where young learners build foundational skills, confidence, and a love of learning rooted in Catholic values.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in reading, phonics, writing, math, religion, social studies, and science.Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and faith experiences into daily classroom life.Use hands-on, play-based, and multisensory learning strategies to support early childhood development.Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, providing appropriate supports and extensions.Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments; communicate progress with students and families.Establish consistent routines and classroom-management practices that promote safety, respect, cooperation, and independence.Support students' social-emotional growth through modeling, guided practice, and positive reinforcement.Foster strong relationships with families through clear communication and partnership.Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to support curriculum alignment and student success.Participate in school liturgies, faith-formation activities, professional development, and school community events.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education (or related field) required.Valid teaching certification for early elementary grades preferred.Experience working with primary-grade students is beneficial.Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.Ability to integrate faith and academics in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for teaching and nurturing young children.Commitment to supporting the mission, values, and community of St. Paul Catholic School.The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
