Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Directly Reports to: Management/Ownership
Salary: $30/hour
Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager oversees all HR functions, including employee recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves advising management on policy matters, resolving employee issues, and ensuring a positive workplace environment. The HR Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support the dispensary’s growth and employee engagement. This includes enhancing training and development programs, improving talent acquisition processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The HR Manager serves as a key liaison between employees and management, helping to align organizational goals with a strong and supportive workforce.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate all human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and support organizational growth.
Develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies, programs, and practices, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and OCM regulations.
Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, including managing employee timecards on a daily basis,
Oversee recruitment and staffing activities, including identifying vacancies, interviewing, selecting applicants, and onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
Conduct and analyze exit interviews to provide insights and recommend changes to improve employee retention and engagement.
Advise management on organizational policies such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, and other HR-related matters, and recommend necessary changes.
Support organizational staff by establishing effective training and development programs, including orientation and continuous professional development.
Manage employee relations, including handling disputes, disciplinary actions, and performance issues, while promoting a positive work environment.
Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings, investigations, and in compliance matters to safeguard the organization’s interests.
Serve as a liaison between management and employees, helping to resolve work-related issues and interpreting HR policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date job descriptions and requirements for all positions, reflecting the evolving needs of the organization.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and enhancing HR strategies to support employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications + Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to actively listen, motivate, develop, and direct team members effectively.
Emotional intelligence to understand and navigate the reactions of others, fostering a collaborative work environment and resolving conflicts when they arise.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate various solutions and identify the best course of action for the organization and its employees.
Must be 21 years of age or older
