Provides leadership in credit underwriting, loan policy administration, portfolio monitoring, regulatory compliance, and analyst development while serving as a strategic backup to the Chief Credit Officer.
What You’ll Do
Lead Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates in underwriting quality and workflow execution
Review complex credit memos, loan write-ups, renewals, and relationship exposures
Provide elevated credit approval authority within assigned lending limits
Support lenders with loan structure, covenant strategy, and borrower risk assessment
Monitor portfolio quality trends, criticized assets, and past due relationships
Partner with the Chief Credit Officer on policy interpretation, exceptions, and risk trends
Participate in customer calls with Loan Officers on larger or more complex relationships
Coach and mentor emerging credit talent and strengthen succession within Credit Administration
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or management
CPA, MBA, or advanced banking school completion preferred
7+ years of commercial credit, underwriting, or credit administration experience
5+ years of progressive leadership experience preferred
Strong knowledge of lending regulations, policy governance, and loan review standards
Advanced ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and borrower trends
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and credit administration software
