This position requires hands-on experience in managing industrial IT environments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, supporting ERP users, maintaining cybersecurity controls, and delivering business-critical IT services in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft technologies, industrial support environments, and user services while ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted plant operations.Job ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & SupportProvide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and IT peripheralsInstall, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, enterprise applications, servers, storage, and virtualization platformsPerform preventive maintenance, system monitoring, and infrastructure health checksNetwork & System AdministrationSupport LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivityTroubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors for service reliabilityManage Active Directory, user access, and Microsoft 365 servicesERP & Application SupportSupport ERP systems (preferably SAP) and business-critical applicationsResolve application issues and coordinate with vendors for escalationsHelpdesk & End-User SupportManage IT incidents and service requests within SLA timelinesProvide on-site and remote technical support, user training, and guidanceCybersecurity & Business ContinuitySupport endpoint security, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiativesMonitor backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity activitiesAsset, Vendor & Plant IT OperationsManage IT assets, software licenses, and vendor relationshipsProvide IT support for plant operations, remote sites, and critical production environmentsSupport infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, and operational continuityDocumentation & Continuous ImprovementMaintain technical documentation, SOPs, and service reportsDrive process improvements, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiativesSafety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to organizational safety, security, and operational standardsPromote reliable and efficient IT operations through proactive monitoring and preventive maintenanceSkills And QualificationsBachelor's / Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in IT Technical Support, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or IT OperationsKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, antivirus management, patch deployment, vulnerability remediation, access control management, and compliance with corporate IT security standardsProven experience in supporting business-critical IT environmentsExperience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, in manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong hands-on experience in administering and supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise user management in a multi-site industrial setupPhysical RequirementsNoneSalary Range$60,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefitsHealth Insurance: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage with an HSA optionRetirement Plan: 401(k) with 6% company matchLincoln STD, LTD, & Life Insurance: Coverage provided by Mesabi MetallicsPaid Time Off (PTO): 0-5 Years: 120 hours per year. 5-10 Years: 160 hours per year. 10+ Years: 200 hours per year.
