Job Description Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. For this contract position, you'll serve alongside dedicated educators in an elementary setting, supporting students with diverse needs and helping foster their academic and social growth. Two full-time roles are available, with immediate start and the possibility of renewal for the next school year.Key Qualifications:Meet one of the following: Associate's degree or higher, at least 60 college credits, or passing score on a state-approved paraprofessional assessment (such as the ParaPro).Prior experience as a paraprofessional or educational assistant, especially in school settings, is preferred.Familiarity with supporting students with ASD, EBD, or moderate to severe special needs is highly desirable.Understanding and use of behavioral management strategies (PBIS, ABA, CPI, etc.) are a plus.Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, collaborate in a team environment, and adapt to evolving student needs.Willingness to assist with personal care, including toileting, when required.Key Responsibilities:Work directly with students in a dedicated special education classroom, providing both 1:1 and small group support.Aid in classroom instruction and deliver accommodations outlined in students' IEPs and behavior plans.Support students with daily living activities, fostering independence and confidence.Maintain a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment.Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure each child's progress and well-being.This role provides valuable hands-on experience, opportunities for ongoing professional development, and the rewarding chance to positively impact children's lives.
