Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make a meaningful impact this school year as a credentialed paraprofessional supporting an elementary-age student with Autism Spectrum Disorder. At this well-established educational setting, you'll work one-on-one in an ASD classroom, providing consistent assistance to a 4th-grade student who is independent with feeding but needs prompting for toileting and redirection to prevent elopement. You'll ensure the student receives individualized support in a collaborative, inclusive environment.Key Qualifications:Associate's Degree or higher requiredValid paraprofessional credentialsAt least 2 years of experience working as a paraprofessional, especially with students requiring individualized supportExperience supporting students with ASD or special education needs is strongly preferredStrong communication skills and ability to implement individualized education strategiesReliable, patient, and dedicated to fostering a supportive classroom atmospherePrimary Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and school staff to implement individualized educational and behavioral plansProvide one-on-one instruction and supervision, ensuring the student's engagement and safetyAssist with daily transitions, prompt toileting as needed, and encourage participation in classroom activitiesSupport implementation of behavior management strategies and appropriate redirectionMaintain accurate records and communicate progress to the educational teamCommit to a consistent daily schedule: Monday–Friday, 6 hours per day (9:15 AM–3:45 PM)Benefits:Opportunity for a contract extension into ESY based on performanceWork at one dedicated elementary building for the duration of the assignmentMake a positive, lasting difference in a student's educational journeyBring your expertise and compassion to a school setting where your contributions truly matter.
