Facilities Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARYThe Handyman / Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs across the corporate headquarters and off-site office locations. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained, and present a professional appearance for employees, clients, and visitors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform general maintenance and small repairs, including:Drywall patching, painting, and touch-upsMinor plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, clogged drains)Basic electrical work (replacing outlets, switches, lighting)Door, lock, hinge, and hardware repairsFurniture assembly, relocation, and adjustmentsConduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issuesRespond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerPerform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and repair costsMaintain clean and organized mechanical, storage, and work areasTrack completed work, materials used, and maintenance issuesEnsure compliance with safety standards and company policiesSupport office moves, setup, and special projects as assignedEnsure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company's safety culturePerform other duties as requested, directed, or assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSProven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar roleStrong working knowledge of general building maintenance systemsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic repair issues independentlyFamiliarity with hand and power toolsGood time management and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to lift up to [75] lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing ladders)Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locationsSKILLS / KEY COMPETENCIESFacilities or building maintenance certification preferredExperience supporting corporate or commercial office environmentsBasic knowledge of HVAC systemsOSHA or safety trainingSafety-focused with attention to detailMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day informationAbility to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments - results orientedAbility to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work non-routine hours, when necessaryPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areasAbility to operate job related toolsConstantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingersWork that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 50 pounds and up to 150 pounds with helpBay Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
