SummaryHealthTap Practice Group is looking for multi-state-licensed, board certified physicians (family physicians and emergency physicians) who can treat patients of all ages as independent contractor physicians. Treat patients by video visit from the comfort of your home office. Current coverage needs include Saturday afternoons (7–11 PM ET / 4–8 PM PT) and Sunday afternoons (3–11 PM ET / 12–8 PM PT). Ideal candidates already have or are willing to get many state licenses, have great bedside manner, have been in practice 5+ years since residency, and are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients by video visit.Core responsibilitiesProvide high-quality, compassionate virtual care via video visits, using your secure and compliant laptop or desktop computer.Offer education and guidance to patients on their health concerns.Prescribe medications electronically (you will not prescribe scheduled or state-restricted medications).Order and review lab tests and provide follow-up recommendations.Fill out work, school, and medical excuse notes, when appropriate.Refer patients to in-person care, when necessary.Write medical notes (SOAP format) after each visit.QualificationsWe seek compassionate, friendly, and experienced physicians who meet the following criteria:A minimum of five years experience in the U.S. providing hands-on primary care.Ideal candidates will be board-certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, but doctors certified in Internal Medicine are also encouraged to apply.Skilled at rapid assessment and treatment, but also skilled at delivering an un-rushed and delightful patient experience (HealthTap Practice Group doctors consistently achieve >4.9/5 star ratings).Licensed in multiple U.S. states (and willing to obtain additional licenses).Skilled in clear, patient-friendly communication during live video visits.Have excellent documentation skills (SOAP notes).Embrace technology and new virtual healthcare innovations.Are consistently punctual, professional, and collaborative.Are friendly, compassionate, and excited about helping patients.Why Join Us?Work from home with no commute.Focus on patient care without the overhead of a physical office.Collaborate with a dedicated team focused on enhancing the virtual healthcare experience.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation depends on number of hours worked and number of patient visits completed, experience, and number of licenses.
