Storage Engineer6+ Month Contract100% Onsite (5 Days/Week) | Boise, ID or Brookfield, CT*No Third Parties or Sub Vendors allowed*We are seeking a Storage Engineer with expertise in enterprise storage, backup, and data protection technologies to support a global infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for managing storage platforms, backup and recovery operations, disaster recovery planning, and capacity optimization across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.ResponsibilitiesManage and support NetApp, Dell EMC, and QNAP storage platforms.Administer SAN/NAS environments, capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage optimization.Support Veeam Backup & Replication, including monitoring, troubleshooting, restores, and recovery testing.Develop and maintain data retention, backup, and recovery strategies.Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), including replication, failover, RPO, and RTO objectives.Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements, scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization.Required Qualifications7+ years of enterprise storage and backup administration experience.Hands-on experience with NetApp, Dell EMC, QNAP, and Veeam.Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures, backup and recovery, and data protection.Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsNetApp, Dell EMC, or Veeam certifications.Experience supporting global or multi-site environments.Exposure to AWS and/or Azure.Background in regulated or manufacturing environments.Keywords: Storage Engineer, NetApp, Dell EMC, QNAP, Veeam, SAN, NAS, Backup, Recovery, Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, BCP, AWS, Azure.
