JOB SUMMARYThis position works closely with the Plant Manager, Department Manager, Shift Supervisors and Engineering. The position requires good communication and record keeping skills. Must be able to plan and prioritize according to manufacturing needs. Expected to maintain all manufacturing machines, support equipment, and utilities. Electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities are required. Will work with vendors to obtain needed resources or labor. Expected to maintain a parts and supply inventory for equipment that is critical to operations. Will maintain a working assignment log for issuing and completing work. Must work autonomously, independently, have good time management skills, and be responsive to maintenance requests. Will be responsible for correctness, timeliness, cleanliness, and overall quality of maintenance tasksRESPONSIBILITIES· Maintain production equipment and ensure it is always in a production-ready state.· Follow all safety and HESS policies as well as possess a basic knowledge of electrical and fire protection regulations.· Communicate Management on maintenance issues and general discussion.· Participate in department audits and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner.· Support company objective and utilize best practices to meet goals.· Work within a cross-functional team to make the best decisions for Nammo MAC.· Make fact-based decisions using data and historical knowledge.· Must maintain a clean and organized area by using the 5S Principals.· Train and continue to educate and assist in the growth and knowledge of team members.· Properly diagnose issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.· Establish time lines, plans and schedule work and or assignments.· Establish and manage preventative maintenance and vendor management programs.· Participate in the development and construction of new automated equipment· Assist with Facilities Maintenance as requiredQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCETo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.· A minimum of 5 years maintenance mechanic experience; management experience preferred· High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.· Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.· Must possess a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and hydraulics.· Must possess a working knowledge of hand/power tools and construction techniques.· Be dedicated to continuous improvement (CI) and innovation. LS6 and CI experience preferred.· Must possess a working knowledge of PLC programming and automation equipment including troubleshooting existing programs/equipment.· Ability to correctly use and read manual measuring devices; caliper, micrometers..etc· Ability to correctly read electrical schematics, dimensional drawings, and other technical documents.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES· Forklift certified.· Welding.· Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.· Respiratory ProgramPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PPE may include:· Vision Protection· Hearing Protection· Gloves· Respirator· Fire Resistant Clothing· Steel Toed Work Shoes· Conductive Shoes or Shoe covers· Other as requiredFor the most part, ambient room temperatures and lighting are as found in a typical manufacturing environment, though exposure to heat and cold is possible.
