Software Development Specialist

Title: HIE Engagement SpecialistResponsibilities:· Coordinate overall Provider Interface solution needs related to interfacing between HIE and various hospital information management systems, laboratory information systems, electronic health record systems and any other third-party applications.· Coordinate with Providers on getting them onboarded with Health Information Exchange (HIE).· Responsible for overall Provider Engagement for their Clinical needs.· Maintain project documentation in accordance with Providence standards.· Provides demo's to Providers of various HIE tools.· Work as liaison and Project coordinator between all teams –Implementation, Development and Q/A.· Interact with business users and stakeholders to define current and future interface requirements.· Ensure that all project tasks are assigned and that tasks are completed on schedule.· Assists with coordinating UAT testing with Providers groups and affiliates.· Problem solving and analysis: utilize effective and creative problem-solving techniques within standard information systems best practices to develop quality solutions and resolve problems.· Co-ordinate with EMR Vendors, Business holders & Stakeholders and coordinate Go live activities.Basic Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Healthcare or equivalent experience.· A minimum of 4+ years related Healthcare clinical experience is a Must. Any experience including in hospital, practices, provider's offices will be preferred.· Candidate must be either in Orange County or Los Angeles, CA region or willing to relocate as this job will require some travel to Provider's offices.· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills, with the ability to manage up, down and across levels of the organization.· Any sales experience will be preferred.· Excellent project management skills.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with ability to work in a complex and matrix-oriented team environment.
