We are connected by our love for the water and boating,creating memories on the water.This position will be a FT position from 8:00am to 4:30pm with some overtimerequired.Position SummaryThe field/shop technician role is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of170 plus boats year round. In summer months you will be traveling across our 11locations mainly focused in the Seattle area performing repair,maintenance, andupkeep to provide the highest quality of boat to our members. In the winter You will berequired to work out of our local repair shop refurbishing boats. You will have theopportunity to work on a variety of tasks, from gelcoat and fiberglass, to basic and fullservices, and full diagnostics and repair on all boats and engines. Our goal is to keepthe boats serviced and functioning so our members can enjoy their time on the water.In the service department we cover all aspects of boat maintenance.Requirements● High School graduate or equivalent preferred● Mercury or Yamaha certification is a major plus!● Knowledgeable in outboard motors or boat basic systems● Physical ability to lift/ carry up to 50 lbs● Physical ability to board and de-board boats safely● Physical ability to kneel/ bend to clean interiors of boats/ boating compartments● Have a valid drivers license and be able to learn towing and launching boats ontrailers proficiently● Have a personal mobile device for company communication apps (Slack, ADP,etc.)● Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity● Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service are required● Must be a self-starter and capable of working without direct supervision●Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferredOur ValuesAs a Freedom Boat Club employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values ofExcellence,Trustworthy, Remarkable service, Great attitude, and Teamwork. As required by various paytransparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hiredinto each position. The pay scale for this position is $20.50 - $38.50 USD. Candidateshired usually do not start at the top end of the pay scale taking into account skill set,level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
