Mechanical Engineer
Making the Metals Powering the WorldSolcoa exists to stabilize the western rare-earth metal supply chain-powering every fighter jet, EV, wind turbine, phone, and generator. We're among the very few companies outside China producing rare-earth metals-and the only one delivering a 100% U.S. supply of both light and heavy rare earths. Our carbon-zero process converts end-of-life magnets directly into metal, ready to accelerate energy independence and secure one of the world's most vital resources. We are a lean, well-funded team rapidly accelerating Western rare-earth production. We're building a world-class team of engineers to solve this crisis. The Role - Mechanical EngineerWe're looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer to design, prototype, and scale the next generation of our rare-earth reactors. You'll own designs from concept through commissioning, working closely with machinists and researchers to turn ideas into operating systems. What You'll DoArchitect, model, and draw reactor subsystems (thermal, vacuum, materials handling) in CAD (Fusion).Specify components, tolerances, and materials for high-temperature, corrosive, and vacuum environments.Build and iterate prototypes; run experiments; analyze data to drive design decisions.Author procedures, test plans, and safety/operating documentation.Collaborate with fabrication partners; support continuous improvement. What You BringRequiredProficiency in CAD (Fusion)Hands-on experience with metal machining and shop toolsExperience with high-temperature systems and/or vacuum hardwareDetail-orientation and precise technical executionComfort working independently in a fast-paced, build-measure-learn environmentAvailability to start soonPreferredCoursework or experience in chemistry or physics (thermo, materials, reaction engineering, or similar)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary'Generous stock optionsComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-provided lunch daily.Visa sponsorship available if needed
