Front Desk PositionThe Front Desk is responsible for the business office of the center, supporting the management, parents and teaching staff. The ideal candidate has some post high school education or training and experience in an administrative position. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ResponsibilitiesAdd new families / enrollments to computer systemSet up new paper files for director to review for new studentsAdd new employees on computer systemAnswer telephone, take messages, respond to injuries, and give directions to the centerCall parents in the event of an accident or incident reportSet up new employee paper files for staff for the director to reviewKeep hourly classroom countsPrint monthly roll call for staff, playground registers, cleaning visits, supply lists, diaper charts etcCollect outstanding tuition via telephoneProduce letters, signs, forms requested by the directorSubstitute in classrooms if neededAssist with sick childrenAssist in the opening or closing of the facilityProcess maintenance requestsProduce welcome packs, new starter packs and welcome foldersAny other duties as required by the Director or Curriculum SpecialistQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferredMinimum of 6 months experience in office environmentKnowledge of childcare rules and regulationsAble to relate well to the public in person and on the phoneDiplomatic, tactful, creative, discreet, flexible, dependable, well organized, friendlyAble to work effectively with multiple supervisors, balance and prioritize multiple requestsAble to handle complex and multi faceted tasksExcellent computer skillsMaintain CPR and First AidMaintain child Abuse and Neglect classesMaintain blood borne pathogen and fire extinguisher certificationMaintain physically every two years.Complete Department of Children and Families 45 hours training.
