SENIOR CLERK - 1

Senior Clerk Your specific responsibilities include verifying client eligibility requirements, answering phones, returning calls, checking voicemail, making appointments, or entering client demographics in EOHR (HMS, Eaglesoft). You will perform billing in accordance with established procedures, organize and maintain dental records and a confidential filing system, enter client data into HMS and Eagle Soft, scan documents as requested, organize and complete projects as assigned, maintain patient's records, comply with security procedure guidelines, confirm appointments and scan client records daily, demonstrate team support to dental staff, operate photocopy and fax machines, computers, terminals, scanners and printers accurately, travel to all clinics and school sites as requested, assist in planning, training, filing and review of clerical work, establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and supervisor, schedule time off in advance and collaborate with supervisor to ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent, provide back up to other members of the Dental Program when needed, attend local meetings as requested, and in the event of a disaster, report for duty prior to, during or after the disaster as needed. You will also complete mandatory training to promote professional growth in a timely manner and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to prioritize, plan, organize and coordinate assigned work, knowledge in using a personal computer such as word processing software, database, spreadsheet and electronic mail, ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner including answering a multi-line telephone system, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Qualifications: Minimum 1-3 years of knowledge in using a personal computer such as word processing software, database, spreadsheet and electronic mail. Preferred Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish highly desired. Dental front office experience highly desired. Where you will work: Looking for someone to serve in the Dental Program of Clinical Health Services Division at the Pinellas Park Health Department in Pinellas County, Florida. The position may require some local travel to various clinics.
