Senior Portfolio Manager

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Banking Office on-site in our Rancho Cordova office. The Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for leading the middle market underwriting, maintenance and management of a portfolio of credits with varying complexity. In addition to managing credit risk, this position will focus on excellent customer service to retain clients and find ways to grow the loan and deposit base of existing and new customer relationships. This position will also work to train and mentor junior staff as appropriate. Experience with a Loan Operating System (specifically Sageworks/Abrigo) and with actively helping to structure loans. Requirements: Excellent knowledge of accounting, financial accounting, and credit analysis. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Thorough understanding and familiarity of the bank’s loan policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of regulatory and legal issues encountered in the completion and closing of complex personal and commercial loans. Professional / Educational Experience:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and minimum 5 -7 year’s relevant banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The hiring pay range for this position is $126,203 to $176,680. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.  The Bank of Marin is a growing public company with career advancement opportunities.
