The role is critical in safeguarding the company's assets, data, and overall business processes.Key Responsibilities:Business architecture:Creates and analyzes technical content for the Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP)Provides a holistic technical perspective on the Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP).Key bridge for technical and non-technical conversations and contentBusiness Continuity Planning:Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures.Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical business functions, dependencies, and risks.Design strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the continuity of operations during and after disruptions.Risk Assessment and Management:Perform regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the organization's infrastructure, processes, and systems.Collaborate with other departments to implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.BCP Architecture Design:Design and document the overall BCP architecture, including backup, recovery, and failover mechanisms.Ensure that BCP architecture aligns with the organization's IT infrastructure and business processes.Work closely with IT teams to integrate disaster recovery solutions with existing systems.Incident Response and Crisis Management:Coordinate response efforts during actual incidents, ensuring that recovery efforts are executed according to the BCP.Act as a key point of contact during crises, providing leadership and guidance to ensure swift recovery.Review and update the BCP post-incident to incorporate lessons learned.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure that BCP plans comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Prepare and present reports to senior management on BCP readiness, test results, and incident response outcomes.Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work with business unit leaders to ensure that all critical functions are covered by the BCP.Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure that third-party services are included in continuity plans.Provide training and support to staff on BCP processes and procedures.Qualifications:Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Experience:Extensive experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or risk management.Previous experience in IT architecture or systems engineering is highly desirable.Certifications:Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or similar credentials are highly preferred.Skills & Technical Proficiency:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent project management and organizational abilities.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and network security.Experience with disaster recovery tools and software.Understanding of cybersecurity principles and how they relate to business continuity.About us:DivIHN, the 'IT Asset Performance Services' organization, provides Professional Consulting, Custom Projects, and Professional Resource Augmentation services to clients in the Mid-West and beyond.
