Title :- GCP Cloud & Data Platforms (Java Backend Developer)Location: Phoenix, ArizonaAbout the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Developer/Engineer with strong hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining scalable microservices and data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.You'll work across backend application development and cloud-native data engineering, collaborating with cross-functional business, analytics, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.Deploy and manage applications on GCP compute services (container orchestration, serverless, or managed app hosting platforms).Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and cloud-native data architectures for analytics and business use cases.Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and improve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application and pipeline performance.Work with relational, NoSQL, and cloud-native data warehousing services as needed.Apply design patterns and software architecture principles to build robust, efficient systems.Requirements06+ years of professional Java development experience.Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA.Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including cloud data warehousing, distributed data processing, and cloud storage services.Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and containerization/orchestration.Proficiency in SQL and at least one additional programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python or Scala).Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems.Experience with CI/CD tooling and version control.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Nice to HaveRelevant Google Cloud certification (Professional Cloud Developer or Professional Data Engineer).Experience with workflow orchestration tools for scheduling data pipelines.Familiarity with messaging/streaming systems for event-driven architectures.Exposure to gRPC and event-driven architecture patterns.
