Laboratory Director

Full-Time, Days, No Weekends A leading acute care hospital laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead operations, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role oversees laboratory operations, staff development, and strategic performance improvements while ensuring exceptional diagnostic services that support patient care. The laboratory is part of a large healthcare network providing diagnostic services to hundreds of hospitals and clinical partners. The department includes automated core testing, high-complexity diagnostics, and quality-driven operations aligned with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Direct laboratory operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards Lead staffing, training, and performance management initiatives Develop and execute operational strategies to improve service, quality, and financial performance Monitor resource utilization and manage departmental budgets Oversee vendor relationships and supply chain efficiencies Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and operational feedback Maintain policies, procedures, and operational best practices Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and exceptional service Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry National Medical Technologist certification TN state license 5+ years of laboratory management experience in complex clinical settings Hospital laboratory leadership experience Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality systems Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $95,000 $140,000 Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 Full benefits package Days schedule No weekends by Jobble
