The unit treats patients requiring stepdown-level monitoring including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and post-operative care. The nurse will work with advanced equipment and collaborate with respiratory therapy and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care. Unit Details Unit Type: Intermediate Care / Stepdown Total Beds: 64 beds Neuro Beds: 15 designated neuro beds Patient Population: Adults (18) Common Diagnoses Neurological conditions Cardiac patients / CV stepdown Trauma cases COPD DKA Sepsis Myocardial Infarction (MI) Post-operative patients Specialty Equipment Temporary Pacemakers Chest Tubes Arterial Lines (A-Lines) BiPAP Neptune Vapo system Vent Experience Chronic ventilator patients (unable to wean) Respiratory Therapy support available Requirements Minimum 2 years of IMCU or PCU experience Travel experience required Active New York RN License Epic EMR experience required Certifications AHA BLS AHA ACLS NIHSS Submission Requirements To be considered, candidates must provide: Updated resume showing IMCU/PCU experience Travel experience documented on resume Skills checklist matching specialty Driver’s license matching candidate demographics NURSYS license verification report RTO (Requested Time Off) included at submission Additional Information Locals accepted (within 75 miles – local rate applies) Floating may occur to other units based on facility needs.
