This role oversees daily operations and staff performance on each shift, while ensuring all resident service plans are followed with dignity and respect.QualificationsMust be able to read, write and carry out directions in EnglishCaregiving experience or certification preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Medication Assistant (MA), or Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LPN)Leadership, Supervisory, And Communication Experienced PreferredMinimum of 18 years of ageMust successful complete the Heritage Property Management Med Tech Certification training course and pass the Med Tech test.CPR CertifiedMust be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening and pre-employment drug screening for illegal substancesEssential FunctionsSupervise resident services staff and daily care deliveryEnsure residents receive care per service plansComplete and update resident assessments and care plans as needed or directed by a supervisorCommunicate with Licensed Health Care Professionals, families, and care partners regarding resident conditions, medications and treatments to ensure continuum of careResponds to and leads emergency situations to ensure resident safetyComplete required documentation for residents, staff and visitor incidents or injuries, and notify appropriate partiesPerform staff performance reviews as needed (90 days, and annually)Deliver staff coaching and counseling as neededAssisted with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining)Respond promptly to resident requests and call lightsObserve and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisorDocument care and services as directedAssist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as neededTrain staff as assigned and as necessary to assure the goals and objectives of the living center are fulfilledPhysical and Mental RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.Ability to assist residents with showers, toileting, transfers, and personal care.About Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living Center.Our living center is a licensed Home for the Aged in Michigan, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to our residents.
