ColumbiaDoctors' practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.Job Summary:The Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Dentist in providing quality dental care in a high volume dental practice environmentJob Responsibilities:Seats and prepares patients for treatmentAssist with Four Handed chair side duties as requiredWorks as a team member with all other staff, Dentist, administration and patient support teamsMaintains infection controlMaintains material, instruments and supplies needed for scheduled treatment t procedureDispenses supplies and materials and stocks each operatory regularlyTakes digital radiographs, developing and places them in mounting positionDismisses patient to receptionist and returns to disinfect operatoryMaintains an inventory of suppliesMaintains patient confidentialityMonitors laboratory cases by logging cases leaving and returning to the practiceMonitors dentist schedule to ensure patients arrivals and/or updates to daily scheduleGeneral office maintenance, i.e., cleaning lab areas, keeping floor free from a debrisMiscellaneous office duties as assigned by manager including, but not limited to: answering phones, calling patients and filingPours stone and plaster models and assists dentist with laboratory work as neededConforms to all applicable HIPPA, Billing Compliance and Safety GuidelinesJob Qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalent required; College degree preferred.Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortableAbility to work independentlyHourly Rate Ranges: $20.35 - $30.02Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education61st Street Service CorporationAt 61st Street Service Corporation we are committed to providing our client with excellent customer service while maintaining a productive environment for all employees.
