If you thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere and enjoy tackling challenges, we can't wait to meet you!ResponsibilitiesSafely and skillfully operate a cold planer milling machine to mill asphalt/concrete surfaces following all standard equipment proceduresMaintains equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance and repair tasks such as adjusting, fluid checks, replacing minor parts and lubricating equipmentResponsible for daily checks of the milling drum, conveyors and water supply systemsResponsible for daily inspection and replacement of milling teeth on the milling drum to assure proper cutting patterns on pavement surfacesMust maintain an acute sense of awareness to the surrounding footprint of the machine (watch for obstructions while operating the equipment, such as trees, utilities, curb and gutters)Maintain constant visual contact with co-workers on the ground and trucks in front of the machineMay perform general laborer duties as assignedRequirementsPrevious experience as an Asphalt Mill Operator or similar role is preferredStrong understanding of safety practices and regulations in construction environmentsAbility to operate heavy machinery with precision and careDemonstrate a strong mechanical aptitudeExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAdaptability to work in various weather conditions and physical environmentsWillingness to take on new challenges and learn new skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredPass pre-employment drug screeningBenefitsESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) The chance to be an employee owner$500 sign on bonusCompetitive wagesPaid HolidaysWeekly payDaily travel per diem (when applicable)Medical insurance available through Blue Cross Blue Shield with dental and vision also available401K plan with company match Achievement points system for rewardsA culture that promotes opportunities for growth, development and internal promotions
