Job Title : Model Based System EngineerLocation : Remote with travel to Endicott NYDuration : Full Time Job Description:This position Systems level position requires a hardware background with past experience which may include the following activities:Design of complex high speed digital circuit card assemblies including PCIeLead/Mentor a team of junior engineersSupport test and troubleshooting of systems, modules and sub-assemblies of digital modules, working directly with program engineering personnel as requiredInterface with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root causeGenerate and implement improvements in product and test design and methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughputGenerate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentationInterface with governmental customers and suppliers as requiredProvide training and support to technicians and manufacturing personnel as requiredSupport Root Cause and Corrective Action activitiesMentor peers and more junior engineers in areas of expertiseRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Model Based System EngineeringExperience with Matlab/SimulinkExperience with airborne actuators Typically, a bachelor’s degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experienceHigh speed digital design of circuit card assembliesExperience with the design, build, integration and/or test of complex electronic systems.Able to research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve electrical engineering problems.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Industrial temperature or better digital circuit card designFPGA based circuit card design.Embedded processors, PCIe, Ethernet, 1553, SERDES, Fiber Optic, DDR3/DDR4CAD based schematic capture and simulation (Mentor/Siemens Xpedition)Able to direct layout and routing rulesPre & Post routing simulation using HyperLynxDemonstrated design success - meet difficult design requirementsStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills.Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment - Team LeaderExcellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure - Own the DesignExperience presenting technical information to program teams and/or customers.
