Senior Manufacturing Engineer – 5-Axis MillingBuffalo, NY (East Aurora, NY site)Full TimeThe Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – 5-Axis Milling to join our Prismatic (Complex Milling) Manufacturing Group in East Aurora, NY. This is a high-impact role for a technically strong manufacturing engineer with deep expertise in complex CNC milling and process ownership.In this role, you will lead new product introduction , advanced process development , and continuous improvement initiatives for high-precision aerospace components. You'll work hands-on with complex milled parts while collaborating across engineering, operations, quality, and automation teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:Lead development of manufacturing processes for new aerospace componentsDrive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives across engineering teamsCreate, validate, and prove out 5-Axis CNC programs , operation sequences, work holding concepts, tooling/gauge lists, and detailed work instructionsProvide hands-on support to improve existing production processes through shop-floor engagementEstimate time standards, labor ratios, and economic run quantities for complex partsGenerate detailed cost estimates for new business pursuits and process improvementsEvaluate, justify, and implement new capital equipment and manufacturing technologiesCollaborate daily with engineers, technicians, operations, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve process issuesMentor peers and junior engineers; provide technical leadershipLead manufacturing engineering projects and potentially own the engineering scope of a dedicated manufacturing cellSupport and optimize automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor content and process variabilityRequired QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:Education & Experience (any one of the following):Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant experienceAssociate degree with 8+ years of relevant experienceHigh School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of proven professional experienceStrong experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling programming using CAD/CAM systems (NX preferred)Proven end-to-end process engineering experience (raw material to finished product)Hands-on machining experience, including machine setup and operationExpertise machining aluminum, titanium, stainless steel , and similar aerospace materialsStrong knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, and fixture designExcellent communication, documentation, and technical writing skillsProject management experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)Recruiter Submission Template –Full Name:Degree Major with University and Completion Year:Total Manufacturing / CNC Engineering Experience (Years):Do you have Senior-level Manufacturing Engineering experience?
