Company Description Dexi is an early-stage startup focused on building a consumer-friendly mobile interface for AI agents.The team is led by two former FAANG industry professionals and a former multi-startup founder. We are reimagining how everyday users interact with AI by removing the need for prompt engineering, complex configuration, and manual permission management. Dexi’s vision is to make AI agents feel like simple, trustworthy assistants that can handle routine life administration tasks with minimal oversight. Joining Dexi means contributing to a product that aims to make advanced AI accessible, intuitive, and useful for a broad consumer audience.Role Description As a Software Engineer Intern at Dexi, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of core features for our mobile-first AI agent platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build and refine backend services, APIs, and system integrations that help power a seamless user experience. Your day-to-day work may include writing clean, testable code, debugging and resolving issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical discussions and documentation. You will also have opportunities to experiment with new tools and technologies relevant to AI-powered consumer applications. This is a remote role. Pay is negotiable.QualificationsFoundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software design principles.Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts such as RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and its application in building maintainable, modular code.Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, or a related field.Ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment, take initiative, and learn quickly from feedback and experimentation.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with an interest in consumer-facing AI products and mobile experiences.
