Description A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible physician to join an established advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support program. Candidates should be fellowship-trained in advanced heart failure. About the Position Join an established team of advanced heart failure cardiologists, supported by a multidisciplinary team including a heart failure surgeon, pharmacist, social worker, and advanced practice providersDestination LVAD center with an active cardiogenic shock programEstablished CardioMEMS program, pulmonary hypertension program, and ongoing heart failure clinical trials and registriesInvasive procedures include heart catheterization and CardioMEMS implantationAcademic affiliation with a medical school, with potential teaching opportunitiesBuilt-in referral network covering a large multi-county service area About the Community Located in eastern North Carolina, approximately 80 miles from a major metropolitan area and the coastMid-sized city with a population of approximately 100,000Access to numerous waterways and outdoor activities, including boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and campingSignificant recent investment in downtown revitalization, including new restaurants, shops, and residential development Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular DiseaseFellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology requiredEligible for or able to obtain medical licensure in the state of practiceActive or eligible for DEA certificationStrong clinical experience in managing complex heart failure patientsExperience with or exposure to mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., LVAD) preferredProficiency in invasive cardiology procedures such as heart catheterization (if required by role)Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care teamStrong communication, organizational, and patient care skillsCommitment to quality care, patient safety, and clinical excellenceInterest in academic, teaching, or research activities (if applicable)
