Helping us focus on modernizing JPMorgan Chase's network platform, advancing next-generation software-defined networking to support resilience, scale, and continued innovation.Job responsibilitiesAdvises and leads on the strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolioDesign and architect core components of JPMC-VPC, including control plane (OVN), data plane (OVS/DPU), software gateways, load balancers, and IPAM systemsCreates novel code solutions and drives the development of new production code capabilities across teams and functionsWrite production-quality code in Go, Python, or C/C++ for networking infrastructureTranslates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm's innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about technology advancementsCollaborate with vendor partners (Red Hat, NVIDIA) on roadmap and integrationRepresent JPMC in open-source communities and industry forumsDrives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologiesCreates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functionsInfluences across business, product, and technology teams and successfully manages senior stakeholder relationshipsChampions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills12+ years of experience in systems engineering, networking, or distributed systemsPractical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExpert in one or more programming language(s) Go, Python, C/C++, RustDemonstrated prior experience with influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scaleHands-on experience with software-defined networking (SDN) technologies such as OVN, OVS, or equivalentExpert-level knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancing)Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability)Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems across various technical disciplinesExtensive practical cloud native experienceExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with DPU/SmartNIC technologies (NVIDIA BlueField, AMD Pensando, Intel IPU)Knowledge of eBPF, XDP, DPDK, or other high-performance networking frameworksExperience with CNI implementations (Cilium, Calico, Flannel) and Kubernetes networkingUnderstanding of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, or other advanced routing protocolsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
