This position is based in St. George, UT and supports work throughout Southern Utah and the Four Corners region.Key Responsibilities:Perform construction staking and layout for earthwork, utilities, roadways, bridges, and site development projectsEstablish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and project coordinate systemsOperate GPS (RTK), robotic total stations, data collectors, and related survey equipmentInterpret civil plans, specifications, and CAD files to translate design into accurate field layoutVerify grades, elevations, alignments, and slopes to ensure work is built within design tolerancesConduct topographic surveys, boundary verification (as needed), and existing condition documentationProvide quantity tracking support and assist with progress measurementsPrepare and maintain as-built drawings and survey documentationCoordinate daily with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to support production and scheduleEnsure compliance with safety standards and company quality control proceduresThis role is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys working in the field, supporting operations, and directly contributing to successful project execution.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Survey Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor, or equivalent experience as a Professional Engineer in heavy civil constructionActive Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licenseProject ExperienceHeavy civil constructionLand developmentAsphalt pavingEarthworkUnderground utilitiesExperience supporting projects ranging from $500,000 to $10,000,000Strong understanding of field layout, grade control, and production supportBenefitsCompetitive salary range of $100,000–$150,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesCompany truck allowanceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planOpportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects across a growing regional footprintLong-term career advancement within a stable and well-capitalized organization
