This position is based in St. George, UT and supports projects throughout Southern Utah and the Four Corners region.This is an ideal opportunity for a licensed professional who enjoys working in the field, collaborating closely with operations teams, and directly contributing to successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform construction staking and layout for earthwork, utilities, roadways, bridges, and site development projectsEstablish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and coordinate systemsOperate GPS (RTK), robotic total stations, data collectors, and related survey equipmentInterpret civil plans, specifications, and CAD files to translate design into field layoutVerify grades, elevations, alignments, and slopes to ensure work meets design tolerancesConduct topographic surveys and document existing site conditionsSupport quantity tracking and progress measurement effortsPrepare and maintain as-built drawings and survey documentationCollaborate daily with project managers, superintendents, and field crewsEnsure adherence to safety standards and quality control proceduresRequirementsEducation & CredentialsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldActive Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredExperience2–5 years of experience in heavy civil constructionExperience supporting projects ranging from $500,000 to $50,000,000Technical & Project ExperienceHeavy civil constructionLand developmentAsphalt pavingEarthworkUnderground utilitiesStrong understanding of field layout, grade control, and production supportBenefitsCompetitive base salary: $100,000 – $155,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesCompany truck allowanceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planOpportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects across a growing regional footprintLong-term career advancement within a stable, well-capitalized organization
