We're a small, family and veteran-owned company that's been part of this community for nearly 20 years.We're looking for a part-time Regional Media & Travel Sales Representative — ideally someone with a background in travel advertising, destination marketing, or travel and convention bureaus who wants flexible work that fits around their life. You'll represent our full portfolio of regional publications and custom publishing to clients across the tri-state area, while also being the face of Midwestern Traveler in the travel and hospitality community.This Is a Great Fit If You're:An experienced travel advertising, travel and convention bureaus, or destination marketing professional looking for flexible part-time workSomeone with a background in travel association sales, CVB (Convention & Visitors Bureau) marketing, or tourism board partnershipsRe-entering the workforce after a career break — your existing relationships in the travel and hospitality industry are immediately valuable hereComfortable making outbound cold calls and building a pipeline from scratchWilling to travel locally for client meetings and participate in regional travel association networking eventsLooking for meaningful part-time income (up to 25 hrs/week) with real upsideWhat You'll Do:You'll sell across our full portfolio — giving you multiple products to match the right solution to each client:Cincy Magazine, NKY Magazine & Dayton Magazine — sell print and digital advertising to local businesses across the tri-state regionMidwestern Traveler Magazine — represent our travel and lifestyle brand to hotels, resorts, tourism boards, restaurants, and destination businessesCustom Publishing — sell branded content and custom publication packages to organizations looking to tell their story (annual reports, visitor guides, partner magazines)Live Events — connect sponsors to the Good Life Expo and other Main Street United eventsMake outbound cold calls daily to build and grow your pipelineMeet with clients locally across Greater Cincinnati, NKY, and DaytonAttend and network at regional travel association events, hospitality industry gatherings, and tourism board meetings to build visibility and relationshipsBuild and maintain your own book of business — your relationships, your incomeWhat We're Looking For:Prior experience in travel advertising, destination marketing, travel and convention bureau sales, or hospitality marketing strongly preferredExisting relationships with hotels, tourism boards, CVBs, resorts, or travel brands in the region is a significant plusComfortable with outbound cold calling — this role requires consistent prospecting, not just warm inbound leadsWilling to travel locally (Greater Cincinnati, NKY, Dayton) for in-person client meetingsComfortable participating in travel and hospitality association networking events as a representative of our brandsSelf-directed, organized, and able to manage your own pipeline without daily oversightStrong communicator — written, verbal, and in-personHow You'll Earn:This is a 1099 commission-only role with a tiered structure designed to reward your hustle — plus a monthly stipend to cover your local travel costs:$500/month travel stipend to cover local mileage and client meetings (paid regardless of production)20% commission on your first $4,000/month in self-generated cash-in revenue30% commission on all self-generated revenue above $4,000/monthAccounts handed to you by the company are compensated separatelyWhat that looks like in practice:Close $6,000/month ? earn ~$1,400/month ($16,800/yr)Close $8,000/month ? earn ~$2,000/month ($24,000/yr)Close $10,000/month ? earn ~$2,600/month ($31,200/yr)No salary, no benefits — but also no ceiling and no commute requirements.
