Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, flexible Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2268.00 Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour variable shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM • 13-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week • Overtime available after 48 hours worked • Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required • On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time • May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley • Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS • Minimum 5 years experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience • Trauma Level II experience required • EPIC charting experience required • Work in 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified • Handle 3-4 patients per nurse in very fast-paced environment • Care for patients across all populations: cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory • Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and using Pyxis medication dispenser • Must be able to work independently and complete tasks in timely manner • Any color scrubs permitted • Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours • Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive emergency department with Trauma Level II designation and stroke certification. The 18-bed emergency unit provides advanced emergency care with on-site laboratory services, radiology staff, and respiratory therapy support. The facility utilizes modern technology including EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to ensure efficient patient care delivery across multiple service locations.
