Assistant Controller (42416) Our client is an organization in the Appleton area that’s looking for an Assistant Controller. This company is looking for someone with 9+ years of experience, motivated, and an excellent leader. This company provides a collaborative culture, flexibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is onsite.The salary for this job is $150K - $180K.The Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee financial, transactional, treasury, and tax accounting functions, supporting VP-Controller in compliance and reporting Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory reporting requirements Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely reporting and analysis Manage, train, and develop general accounting team members Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting Support technical accounting, including research and preparation of policies and memos Coordinate external audits, tax compliance, and communications with auditors and regulatory bodies Oversee debt covenants, accruals, reserves, actuarial estimates, budgeting, and special projectsThe Assistant Controller will possess the following: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred9+ years of progressive work experienceProven leader that can demonstrate development of their teamStrong analytical capabilities with an aptitude for problem solving and process improvementFunctions at a high level when working independently or in a groupExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsExceptionally strong computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) with previous exposure to ERP systems (Oracle preferred)Equal Opportunity Employer The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
