Lindop SchoolDate Available:07/01/2026Title: Attendance Secretary/RegistrarReports to: Assistant PrincipalDefinition: The Attendance Secretary/Registrar handles administrative details, schedules appointments, handles school communication, and clerical duties such as answering phones, responding to email, typing reports and faxing documents. Tracks all student attendance. Acts as a registrar during registration and throughout the school year as the need arises. The School Secretary/Registrar is aware of what's going on at the school on a day-to-day basis.Major Policy Responsibility: The busy office environment requires high levels of concentration while coping with frequent interruptions.Duties and Responsibilities:Distributes MailAnswers PhonesResponds to inquiry from staff, students and ParentsMaintains Communication LogSchedule appointments for Principal and Assistant PrincipalMaintains Student Data BaseInput Power School Student Info including but not limited to student demographics, attendance, etc.Prepare Student Record ReportsManages Deliveries (UPS/FedEx)Maintains and copies SWIS and sends letters on DisciplineCollect Phone logs (Teachers)Laminate Projects and Maintains InventoryBackground Checks for Parents and VolunteersRegistrationGraduationMaintains and Processes student recordsMaintains Cumulative FoldersCollects Lesson PlansProcesses Transfer RequestsManages Substitutes (AESOP)Monitor and reconcile accounts for the Principal and Assistant PrincipalEnter requisitions, check deliveries and arranges distribution of goodsCompose correspondence and effectively use technologyIdentify and address errors and discrepancies professionally and in timely fashionAttend workshop and seminars to improve the operationsEvaluates the system and provide recommendations for improvementResponsible for safety protocols as outlined in the School Emergency Operations PlanSeparate and distribute basic school supplies throughout the school year, as requested by staff membersTrack and maintain supplies inventory in district storeroomGreet visitors, determine nature of business, secure proper identification for name badge as outlined in policy manualAnswer telephone to provide information, take messages, and transfer callsPerforms secretarial duties (i.e. compose memos, draft letters, etc.)Perform duties to support the Lunch ProgramMailings and Notifications:Process requested faxPrincipal NewslettersCoordinate Report Cards DistributionConduct Automated Message AlertsLetters for Detention or suspensionSends out Attendance/Tardy NoticesPrepares Letter of Recommendation for High School StudentsQualifications:Excellent customer service under pressure.Be at least 18 years of age with some college preferred.Ability to follow both written and oral directions.Willing to work with and around adults and children.Follow work schedules and procedures.Be willing to learn new skills and follow directions.Has computer skills and is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Platform, phone systems, intercom, copy machines, fax machines.Terms of Employment:Hourly Salary is commensurate with experience and education
