The VMS oversees and supervises the visual and merchandising processes in our store: creating visual presentations, using placement and composition of mannequins to convey current trends and seasonal campaign messages. They drive front of house planning to ensure that day in/day out fashion leadership, merchandise presentation techniques and promotional events calendar execution is consistent with corporate visual merchandising. The VMS role models a strong creative sense of fashion leadership balanced with an understanding of metric driven commerce.Essential FunctionsEmpower visual and merchandising team to ensure aligned execution of all merchandise strategies, standards presentations and marketing campaignsCultivate a strong business partnership with store leadership team and trade area partnersBe a visible and responsive collaborator throughout the storeEmbrace and be proficient with technologyParticipate in other support functions and/or assist the in-store customer as neededCompetenciesHigh School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years relevant experienceStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesResourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesAbility to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidaysPhysical RequirementsPosition requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or departmentMay involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color visionFrequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactionsFrequently lift/move up to 50lbs
