Investment Banking FIG Vice President
A leading independent advisory firm is seeking a highly experienced Vice President to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The team advises on high‑profile mergers & acquisitions, strategic reviews, capital raises, and complex financial transactions for financial services clients across the UK and Europe. The firm operates with a flat structure, strong deal flow, and direct senior‑level client exposure.
The Vice President will take a central role in managing live transactions, overseeing junior team members, and working closely with Directors and Partners to deliver strategic advisory mandates. Key Responsibilities
Lead the day‑to‑day execution of M&A and strategic advisory mandates within the financial services sector.
Oversee financial analysis, valuation workstreams, and transaction materials with a high degree of autonomy.
Own client deliverables, ensuring rigorous analysis and clear, insightful recommendations.
Coordinate due diligence, process management, and communication across internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor and develop Analysts and Associates, providing guidance on modelling, analysis, and presentation standards.
Support senior leadership in business development, pitch preparation, and strategic idea generation.
Qualifications & Experience
5-7+ years of investment banking experience, including meaningful exposure to FIG clients (insurance, banking, specialty finance, fintech, or asset/wealth management).
Strong execution experience on M&A and/or capital advisory transactions.
Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities; ability to independently review and challenge analytical work.
Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder‑coordination skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams successfully in a fast‑paced environment.
Intellectual curiosity and a deep interest in financial services market dynamics.
