Team Overview
The Global Healthcare group advises clients across a broad range of healthcare sub-sectors, including Biotechnology, Diagnostics/Life Sciences, Healthcare Information Technology, Healthcare Services, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceuticals.
With professionals in offices around the world, the group provides the full suite of investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, financial restructurings, and risk management.
Position Overview
As a Vice President, you will help originate and deepen client relationships, lead day-to-day deal execution, and manage teams to deliver high-quality analysis and materials. You will structure and execute transactions across M&A and capital markets, serving as a trusted client advisor and mentor to junior team members.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For
Education & Experience
Master’s degree with 4+ years of investment banking experience, or bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of investment banking (or equivalent) experience
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
Healthcare Expertise
Healthcare sector expertise across one or more of the following: Biotechnology, Diagnostics/Life Sciences, Healthcare Information Technology, Healthcare Services, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceuticals
Transaction Execution
Demonstrated experience executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, as well as equity and debt financings
Strong track record of leading the end-to-end execution of M&A and financing transactions in an advisory role, including drafting client materials and managing diligence, valuation, and process workstreams
Leadership
2+ years of experience leading deal teams of analysts and associates; proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate junior talent
Core Competencies
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
Strong work ethic, high motivation, and exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Personal integrity, sound judgment, initiative, and leadership
Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and serve as a reliable point of contact
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $250,000-$300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
