**This position is only available to current college students.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Know proper safety procedures for operating in and around the process areas in the refinery Be able to describe operating equipment; pumps, compressors, fans and other process equipment Perform housekeeping duties as required Read and follow all applicable guidelines and procedures Shadow/observe operations personnel to obtain working knowledge of day-to-day operation of refinery units Perform fireguard responsibilities Be able to identify and apply pertinent sections of PSM Successfully complete Operator Trainee Safety Audit Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by supervisionEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.Must have completed at least one semester in a specified technical program at Shelton State Community College or Bevill State Community College.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid Driver License
