Network Security Engineer

Overview In this role you design, implement, and maintain robust network security to protect ADP’s digital infrastructure. You’ll work with IT teams to deploy firewalls and IDS, monitor threats, and respond to incidents, ensuring secure and compliant operations. You’ll collaborate across functions to strengthen security controls and optimize perimeters for scalability and resilience. ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage firewall and security appliance configurations (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto) to protect assetsMonitor network and security events (e.g., Splunk) and respond to threats and incidentsConduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknessesDevelop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in line with best practices and complianceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security enhancements and support incident responseContinuously evaluate security protocols and derive strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance network resilience Key requirementsBachelor's degree or equivalentProven experience with Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls and configuring firewall rules and policiesStrong knowledge of intrusion detection systems and network security principlesExperience using Splunk or similar SIEM tools for monitoring and analysisUnderstanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and security-relevant network protocolscollaborationcommunicationproblem-solvingCisco ASAFortinetPalo Alto
