Cloud Engineer I

Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology firm, is looking for a Cloud Engineer I.Position Summary: The Cloud Engineer I will provide level 1 support and troubleshooting for cloud platforms, handling routine tasks such as platform monitoring, backups, user issues, and onboarding. This role involves basic script writing to assist with platform automation and solving problems under general supervision. The position requires developing skills for greater independence and understanding fundamental concepts and procedures.What the right candidate will enjoy:Opportunities to develop skills and work with greater independenceEngaging in platform automation and cloud infrastructure managementCollaborating with a team of experienced engineers and developersWhat type of experience does the right candidate have:Scripting experience, preferably in PythonExperience with AWS and TerraformKnowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS networking, infrastructure management, automation, GoLang programming, and cybersecurity best practicesWhat the responsibilities are of the right candidate:Develop software platforms and frameworks, including platform automationMaintain services and monitor system healthScale systems sustainably using continuous deployment and automationResearch and implement best design principles to improve reliability and velocityWork in an agile environment and engage in practices such as XP and test-driven developmentCollaborate with technical staff to resolve software problems and address customer complaints and suggestions for improvements*Able to work remotely, however, candidates must be local to Charlotte, NC!*W2 only
