Trust & Estates Legal AssistantLos Angeles, CA | Direct Hire | Full‐Time, Non‐ExemptLHH has partnered with a well‐established law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Legal Assistant to support a busy and sophisticated Trusts & Estates practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‐oriented professional who enjoys client interaction and working in a collaborative, high‐quality legal environment.Position OverviewThis role supports a practice focused on Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate. The Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys, clients, financial institutions, and third parties and must be polished, professional, and confident in managing high‐touch client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorneyManage high‐volume calendaring and scheduling (Outlook, Zoom, in‐person meetings)Prepare quarterly tax payments for multiple trust accountsPrepare property tax payments and insurance renewals for trust accountsCoordinate with CPAs, bookkeepers, and financial institutionsCommunicate regularly with bank representatives regarding trust accountsPrepare and record deeds and assemble estate planning bindersDraft professional correspondence and manage client communicationsPrint, scan, proofread, and edit legal documents with a high level of accuracyMaintain organized files and track case progressManage Excel spreadsheets related to trust account expensesCollaborate with attorneys and team members while working independently when neededQualificationsMinimum 5 years of Trust & Estates experience, including estate planning, trust administration, and probateStrong administrative, organizational, calendaring, and follow‐up skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Adobe ProExperience with e‐filing and/or probate litigation filings preferredFamiliarity with CompuLaw or similar calendaring systems a plusExperience with iManage or similar document management systems preferredAssociate's degree or higher preferredNotary Commission a plus (all commission costs covered by the firm)Job Details* In‐office 4 days per week, 1 remote day per week* Hybrid schedule available after 45 days of employmentCompensation* $95,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefitsPaid vacation, sick leave, and firm holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) planGroup life insurance and long‐term disabilitySupplemental insurance optionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Monthly travel/parking allowanceThis posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
