Job Title Medical Director Pediatric Cardiology – AdventHealth for Children, Orlando, FL Overview AdventHealth Medical Group and AdventHealth for Children are seeking a pediatric cardiology medical director to join our multi‑disciplinary pediatric and adult congenital cardiology team. The cardiologist will work in an exciting and thriving program with full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50+ hospitals across nine states, including 30 in Florida). The physician will benefit from cross‑coverage for call and work with a comprehensive team that includes surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dietitians, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers. The role will be 0.8 FTE clinical and 0.2 FTE administrative (32 hours/month, not to exceed 384 per year). Non‑Invasive Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and Electrophysiologists are encouraged to apply. Requirements Board Certification in pediatric cardiology. Additional subspecialty board certification as applicable for sub‑specialization. High caliber, quality‑focused, innovative physicians. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous leadership in a similar role is preferred. Bi‑lingual in Spanish is strongly preferred. Practice Description This employment opportunity includes call coverage and competitive compensation. Hospital Description Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed Level 4 NICU, 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open‑heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also offer key destination programs, including a level IV epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT, and solid organ transplants (kidney and liver). Our network includes 30 hospitals across the state, with one children’s hospital at the center that totals approximately 24,000 births annually and runs several highly successful pediatric subspecialty programs and outreach clinics.
