Job DescriptionROLE SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced IT Database Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise database environments across both traditional data center and Microsoft Azure platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the performance, availability, security, and reliability of mission critical database systems supporting business operations.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments while working closely with infrastructure, development, and security teams. This individual will lead database administration efforts, oversee high availability and disaster recovery strategies, troubleshoot complex performance issues, and drive automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and system reliability.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments across data center and Azure platformsMonitor database performance, capacity, and health while developing proactive alerting, dashboards, and operational reportingTroubleshoot performance bottlenecks, failed jobs, connectivity issues, blocking events, and database incidents while conducting root cause analysisDesign, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuityOptimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, configuration improvements, and capacity planningImplement database security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, auditing, and compliance related safeguardsCollaborate with application and development teams to support database design, schema changes, deployments, and performance optimizationAutomate routine administrative tasks using scripting and cloud automation tools while maintaining documentation, runbooks, and operational proceduresKEY REQUIREMENTS5 plus years of experience supporting production Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments as a Database Engineer or DBAHands on experience administering databases across both traditional data center infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environmentsStrong expertise with database performance tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, transaction management, and query optimizationProven experience designing and supporting high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery solutions for enterprise databasesExperience with SQL Server Always On, replication technologies, clustering, log shipping, and database failover methodologiesProficiency with automation and scripting technologies including T SQL, PowerShell, Bash, Python, Azure CLI, or similar toolsExperience with Azure services including Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for MySQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics preferredKnowledge of database security best practices, compliance requirements, and data protection controlsStrong understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure concepts that impact database performance and availabilityExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills with the ability to perform effectively in on call and high urgency situationsWHY JOIN THIS OPPORTUNITYOpportunity to support enterprise scale database platforms across both on premises and cloud environmentsExposure to modern Azure technologies and strategic cloud transformation initiativesWork on highly visible systems that directly impact business operations and customer experienceCollaborative environment that values technical expertise, innovation, and continuous learningAbility to contribute to automation, operational excellence, and long term technology strategyAPPLY TODAYIf you are a database professional with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Azure technologies, we encourage you to apply today.
