Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An advanced-level surgical technician role in a Level I Trauma Center specializing in neurosurgery presents an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to apply their skills in a high-acuity environment. This travel position is based in Westbrook, ME, at a renowned medical center known for cutting-edge technology and comprehensive trauma care.Responsibilities:Assist in complex neurosurgical procedures, including brain aneurysm repairs, MVM brain surgery, and complex spine deformity cases.Competently operate and maintain advanced surgical equipment such as Stryker instruments, Airo CT navigation, O-arm navigation, and Intuitive Robot systems.Provide support during trauma and specialized operating room cases across multiple disciplines including cardiac, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, ENT, pediatric, plastics, dental, and endovascular surgeries when needed.Respond and manage neuro call duties, expected to range between 50-150 hours of call per 8-week block, including overnight trauma call coverage.Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and participate in teamwork to ensure timely and flexible support during surgeries.Qualifications and Experience:Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.Minimum of 3 years of scrubbing experience in neurosurgery with a focus on Level I trauma center settings.Proficiency with specialized surgical instruments and navigation technologies (Stryker, Airo CT navigation, O-arm navigation).Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred.Flexibility to cover day shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and rotate weekend 12-hour shifts with 1:4 frequency.Ability to respond promptly and effectively during call hours.Location Overview Westbrook, ME:Westbrook offers a welcoming community atmosphere with close proximity to the vibrant cityscape of Portland.
