Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

In this position you will perform public record research and calculations to resolve property boundaries and rights of way; topo, ALTA / NSPS surveys and construction surveys for residential, commercial, large industrial and high-rise projects. You will review survey technician's work and serve as a technical task manager on various sized projects. You may assist in scheduling for field crews and help prepare crews for their field work.What you're responsible for:Survey to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining or other surveying related purposesConstruction staking, planning, reports, maps, plats, deeds, local geography, physical evidence, legal descriptions, and researchResponsible for accuracy of documents and deliverables completed by teamInstruct, train, and mentor crew membersMay confer with project team members and clients to lead, prepare, and participate in project proposals and interviewsEffectively manages and delivers projects on-time and on budgetEducation and Experience Required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or related field preferred.Licensed by the State of Colorado in Land Surveying.Minimum of 5-6 years of experience preferred.Proficient in relevant technical software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or equivalent.Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.This is a full-time, exempt position.
