Pharmacist - Inpatient Operations (Nights)Oversees the nightly operation of the pharmacy. Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration, drug therapy monitoring services, and supervision of the medication dispensing process in the Medical Center. What You'll Do: Deliver expert pharmacy support across 679 beds, on night shift (7 days on/7 days off, Thursday night through Wednesday night rotation). Train and become an expert on: Inpatient Operations, Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding Operations, Controlled Substances Operations, Triaging nursing and provider pharmacy services needs. Gain additional exposure to direct clinical patient care, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed and based on skills and performance. Participate in additional rotational night shift coverage. Beyond The Bench: Collaborate on protocol development, guideline updates, and departmental goals. Ensure safe, effective medication use through order verification, regimen design, and therapy monitoring. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Preferred Qualifications: Education: PharmD Degree Experience: Experience supporting operations in an Inpatient Pharmacy operations setting Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. New hire compensation will be determined by education and experience. Onboarding Requirements: Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $133,889.60 annually.
